Event information - An Evening for Mo and Friends

A memorial for Mo Mowlam will be held at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane on the 20th November. The event has been organised in loving memory of an aunt, a god mother, a step mother and a wife, while also being a powerful and much loved public figure during her time in government and after.

The night will be a combination of comedy, personal reflections on a friend, work colleague and family member. The night will be concluded with a concert from various musicians. All the people performing at the event knew Mo in some capacity during her lifetime. It is a night for those who loved her to reflect on the fun and happy times spent with such a great woman. The night as a whole aims to be a celebration of an extraordinary woman’s life and to remember that Mo always believed in laughing and dancing.

The event has been organised by her step daughter Henrietta, her nephew Charlie, and her god daughter Emma. It has been organised by people who loved Mo very much and want everyone to be able to celebrate her life. However, the evening could never have been organised without the help of many other fantastic people, in particular Mo’s step son Freddie, her husband Jon and her sister Jean.
